Laser treatments
There is no laser for everything. Every laser procedure aims at one of three targets in the skin, and it is that target, not the brand of the device, that decides the choice of technology.
First target
Melanin
Pigment in the skin and in the hair. Hence pigmentation reduction, tattoo removal and hair removal.
Second target
Haemoglobin
Blood pigment in the vessels. Hence closing thread veins and work on redness.
Third target
Water in tissue
Heated or vaporised point by point. Hence fractional treatments, work on scars and the remodelling of collagen.
From concern to treatment
You do not need to know the name of the device. Choose what brings you here, and we will match the technology at the qualification appointment.
Our laser equipment
Different skin structures absorb different wavelengths. That is why, instead of one device “for everything”, we work with several, matching the wavelength to the aim.

This comparison is for information only. Which device is used, and with which settings, is decided by the person carrying out the treatment after assessing the skin and the phototype.
Before we start
- The first visit includes a suitability assessment and a laser test on a small area.
- Tell us about the medicines you take. Some of them increase sensitivity to light.
- The skin must not be tanned or irritated, including after self-tanning products.
- Sun protection of the treated area is required throughout the whole course of therapy.
- Some therapies are carried out in series, and the number of treatments is set after assessing how the skin responds.
The rules for working with lasers in months with strong sunshine are described in the post on laser therapy in summer.
Suitability assessment and laser test
At the first visit we assess the phototype, the condition of the skin and the aim of the therapy, and a test on a small area shows how the skin responds to the chosen settings.
