Labiaplasty
Labia correction: reduction, shortening, reshaping or restoring symmetry. Performed with fractional technology, under local anaesthesia.
Some of these treatments improve appearance, and some solve a functional problem: stress urinary incontinence, complaints after childbirth, dryness, scars, asymmetry. Which case applies is decided by an examination, not a catalogue.
Aesthetic gynaecology is a young branch of medicine, established as a separate field some fifteen years ago. Its name refers to aesthetics, but a considerable part of its treatments concern function: control of urination, comfort after childbirth, dryness, pain related to scars, and asymmetry that makes everyday activities or physical activity difficult.
The methods fall into three groups: surgical, energy-based (fractional technology and radiofrequency) and injectable (hyaluronic acid, platelet-rich plasma, fat transfer). Which one is used follows from the diagnosis, not from price preference.
The treatments are carried out by a gynaecologist. Each one is preceded by a consultation with a medical history and an examination, and in some cases also by additional tests.
The following symptoms require diagnostics, not a treatment that improves appearance. Please see a gynaecologist, and in the case of sudden symptoms, without delay.
We do not remove lesions that raise doubt with a laser. The treatment of choice is surgical excision with histopathological examination of the specimen, the same as with pigmented skin lesions.
Labia correction: reduction, shortening, reshaping or restoring symmetry. Performed with fractional technology, under local anaesthesia.
Also known as hoodoplasty. Usually performed together with labiaplasty or vaginoplasty, under local anaesthesia.
Most often after vaginal deliveries and with age-related widening of the vagina. Thickening of tissue and contraction of the walls.
Naevi, warts, fibromas. The doctor first assesses the nature of the lesion. Benign lesions can be removed with a laser; those that raise doubt are excised surgically with histopathological examination.
Fractional technology increases the tension of the vaginal walls and stimulates the tissue to rebuild collagen fibres. The method applies to the stress form and requires the type of incontinence to be established before assessment.
A fractional electrode with control of tissue moisture allows the treatment to be carried out in patients of different ages, with the course monitored.
For patients who notice a loss of firmness, pigmentation changes, dryness or a worsening of the blood supply to the tissue.
Regenerative and tightening treatments, and treatments that work on scars and adhesions, chosen according to the type and severity of the changes.
Volumising that replaces the volume lost with age, when the amount of collagen fibres and the fat pad decreases.
Reduction of the vaginal opening where the vestibule has been stretched, for example after childbirth.
Retracted scars can be a cause of discomfort and pain. Injections soften the tissue and reduce the tension of the scar.
Autologous treatment: the preparation is made from the patient's blood. It improves blood supply and tissue quality. Method description on the page platelet-rich plasma.
A series of combined treatments, carried out by a doctor and a cosmetologist. Separate page: caesarean section scar.
Combined approach, chosen individually. The scope is set by the doctor after examination.
A consultation with a gynaecologist includes a medical history interview, an examination and a discussion of the options and limitations. Some situations require additional tests or a urogynaecological consultation before qualification. The consultation is a paid visit: 150 PLN.
We do not carry out the treatment during an infection, in case of bleeding of unknown cause, or when the symptoms point to a cause other than the one the treatment is meant to improve. In such a situation we say so directly and refer the patient for diagnostics.
