Laser hair removal bikini
The bikini area differs from the rest of the body in follicle density, hair thickness and skin sensitivity. That means different settings, different preparation and a different price than for the legs or underarms.
Below are the three treatment zones we actually perform, prices for a single treatment and in packages, preparation for the visit and the situations in which we will not carry out the treatment. How the laser works and why a series is needed is described on the laser hair removal page.
Which bikini zones we perform
We agree the zone before the treatment, because it decides the visit time and the price. Three items from the price list and their everyday equivalents:

Everyday names are understood in different ways, so we agree the zone in words, not by name. At the consultation we ask directly which areas are to be included in the treatment.
How much bikini hair removal costs
Prices depend on the zone and on the laser. The laser is chosen by the cosmetologist after assessing the skin and hair. For the bikini area we use, among others, alexandrite laser hair removal.

The laser test patch before the series is free of charge. The price list is for information and does not constitute an offer within the meaning of Article 66 § 1 of the Polish Civil Code.
How to prepare for bikini hair removal
- No waxing, epilator or tweezers for 4 weeks. The laser needs a hair with its root in the follicle. Shaving is allowed and advisable.
- The area shaved on the day of the treatment. Hair above the skin absorbs energy without any benefit.
- No tan, including from sunbeds and self-tanner.
- No cosmetics on the area: no lotion, intimate deodorant or oils.
- Tell us about your medication. Some medicines, including certain antibiotics and vitamin A derivatives, increase sensitivity to light.
What to expect after the treatment
Redness and perifollicular swelling usually last up to 2 to 3 days. Swelling around the follicles is the expected reaction to the chosen settings, not a complication. We describe it in the article on perifollicular swelling.
- no sauna, swimming pool or hot bath for the first few days
- no intense exercise
- breathable underwear, nothing tight
- sun protection if the area is ever exposed
When we will not carry out the treatment
We give the full list on the laser hair removal contraindications page. For the bikini area, the following are of particular importance:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- an active infection or skin inflammation in the treatment area
- genital herpes in the active phase
- a fresh tan
- taking photosensitising medication
- hormonal disorders with excessive hair growth, including polycystic ovary syndrome: in that case we refer you to a doctor first, because the treatment alone does not remove the cause
The questions we are asked most often
Is bikini hair removal painful?
Sensations are individual and depend on the area, pain threshold and phase of the cycle. The bikini area is more sensitive than the legs. The skin is cooled during the treatment. We do not promise that the treatment is painless, because that would not be honest.
Will the hair grow back?
Laser hair removal reduces the number and thickness of hairs. Some follicles may resume activity over time, which is why single maintenance treatments are sometimes needed after the series. We do not use the phrase „removal for ever".
Do you perform bikini hair removal for men?
Yes, the price list has a separate item, „men's bikini, whole area".
Can the treatment be done in summer?
You can, provided you follow the sun protection rules and have no fresh tan in the treatment area. More in the article on laser treatments in summer.

Where we perform bikini hair removal
We see patients at ul. Obroki 68 in Katowice, on the Witosa estate. There is a private car park for patients next to the building.
With this zone, not only the journey to the treatment matters, but also the way back. Redness and perifollicular swelling usually last up to two or three days, and after the treatment we recommend breathable underwear with no pressure. A shorter return trip and parking next to the building count precisely on a day like that. The series is preceded by a laser test patch, which is free, and the bikini price list has single items as well as packages of six and eight treatments, so there are several visits.
